HOW TO STORE FILTER COFFEE
Monaco suggests the following method for making delicious filter coffee:
• Place the pure coffee powder into the filter. Note that for a delicious cup of coffee, do not overfill but only fill to 1/3 the height of the filter.
• Use the filter press to gently compress the coffee powder. This step helps the water to seep in slowly and blend with every small coffee particle.
DIRECTIONS FOR MAKING FILTER COFFEE
Step 1: Rinse the coffee filter (phin) with hot water.
Step 2: Add 20 to 25g of ground coffee into the filter (depending on your preference for strength), and press the filter lid gently.
Step 3: Place the filter over a cup and pour 20ml of boiling water under the lid and 20 ml over the surface of the coffee to steep.
Step 4: After 2 – 3 minutes, when the coffee grounds have fully absorbed the water and expanded, add another 50 – 60ml of boiling water, cover with the lid, and wait for the coffee to extract into the cup.
Step 6: The result should be around 30 – 40ml of coffee. You can add condensed milk or sugar, ice, stir well, and enjoy.
